About Hannah Lucy Photography

Hi, I'm Hannah, thank you for taking the time to visit my website.

I am a Gosport based photographer,  specialising in Newborn and Wedding Photography, covering all areas around the UK - although I am happy to travel overseas.
I'm also a registered member of The Guild of Photographers and BANPAS which specifically promotes newborn safety & posing practiced in a controlled environment.

My aim is to make sure all customers feel ease in front of the camera, to photograph in a way that captures a natural and story-telling style.

I have been photographing weddings since 2009, when I was initially a photographer’s assistant. This is where I learned a lot about my style as a photographer and also a lot about myself as a person... and more importantly what I knew I didn't want to be percieved as wedding photographer!
I then worked alongside a local photographer and friend for nearly 4 years, specialsing in weddings and studio portrature. We decided to go separate ways in 2013, as we both had different areas of photography we wanted to focus on.

Hannah Lucy Photography launched late 2013, specialising in my passion for wedding and newborn photography, and I haven't looked back since.
June 2018 was a huge milestone in my photography career I made 'the jump' for me to pursue my dreams of being a 'full time' photographer, which in all honesty, I never thought that day would come, so it's safe to say my dream has come true!

I am due to get married in April 2019 and It's crazy how much time & effort goes in to the planning! Having been in the wedding industry for the past 8 years, I thought it would be a walk in the park.... how wrong I was! ;-) Here's a little personal photo of me and my fiancé.

I do limit myself to a certain amount of Newborn Sessions and Wedding bookings per year, so if you would like me to photograph your special day or capture those precious newborn photos, please contact me to make a booking or seek further information.

I am a proud member of BANPAS (Baby and Newborn Photography Association) and have been for nearly 3 years. BANPAS are passionate about newborn safety so it is great to be part of this organisation. I have attended 'Newborn Posing Workshops' which are recommended by BANPAS.  I am trained in newborn safety and how to set up a composite image in stages, using photoshop. I love to keep up to date with training and have recently had 1-2-1 mentoriing and training with one of the UK's leading newborn photographers and a pioneer in the safety of newborn photography, which was an amazing experience. I don't think anyone can ever have enough training! :-)

Finally, a huge thank you goes to my current and previous clients who have recommended me to their friends, colleagues and family members. Also, to those who have let me capture those treasured moments in your lives. I know i'm biased, but I really do have the best job!
