Hey, I’m Hannah, thank you for visiting my page
I'm a wife to Neil and proud mum to Jackson, who is my little bestie. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me at the beach with Jax throwing stones in the sea - I think he may have nearly built a pathway to the Isle of Wight with the amount of stones thrown in the water at the same place haha!) He fills my days with so much laughter and also a large amount of mischief! Motherhood has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of cherishing each fleeting moment as time does go by so fast
In my free time I love to swim...
Last year I decided to rejoin a swimming club as I wanted to do something for myself after having Jackson in '21.  By September ’22 I had my first competition (in 18 years) which gave me the buzz to do more! In June '23 won 4 gold medals at the Hampshire Masters county championships (eeek!) and that qualified me to the Masters National Championships in Sheffield in October. Watch this space for 2024!
What got me into photography?
To be honest, photography was never on my radar! I’ve always been quite an arty person and used to love taking photos growing up but never saw myself having a career within a creative industry! I had a spare slot on my A level timetable and photography was a subject that filled the gap! Ironically, this was only subject I ended up getting a qualification in as I had major spinal surgery (scoliosis) during my final year, so the recovery took priority. My assessments were on film so I pretty much taught myself photoshop and digital photography after leaving college and I'd say my style is constantly evolving and there is ALWAYS room for improvement and progression.

I finally launched Hannah Lucy Photography at the end of 2013, specialising in my passion for wedding and newborn photography after working alongside various photographers for 3 years prior to that. By June 2018 I decided to ’take the plunge’ to fully commit to Hannah Lucy Photography full time and I’ve never looked back! I can honestly say that I now have my dream job!

#4 When are you most productive? In the evenings. I always have new ideas around 10pm (my brain never sleeps)

#7 Where’s the best place you’ve travelled? Singapore. It’s a fascinating place & would love to go back!
